The Elegance of Light and Space
In Milan’s modern CityLife district, the renovation project of the Via Albani apartment, designed by PRINCIPIOATTIVO Architecture Group, stands out for its harmonious balance of functionality, aesthetics, and living comfort. This intervention redefines spaces through a contemporary language, characterized by high-quality materials, plays of light, and a meticulous study of spatial distribution.
The apartment is designed around a concept of visual continuity, achieved through large sliding glass doors with minimal profiles that connect the kitchen to the living area. This choice allows natural light to flow freely, enhancing the perception of space and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The natural wood flooring acts as a unifying element across different areas, adding a sense of coherence and sophistication. The living room features a custom full-wall bookshelf framing a modern electric fireplace, which becomes the focal point of domestic conviviality. Neutral wall tones and decorative elements such as paintings and art objects add a personal and refined touch.
The kitchen design is a perfect example of functionality and elegance. White marble surfaces blend with the warmth of wood, used for the suspended snack counter, creating a dialogue between the functional and social areas. Integrated under-cabinet lighting enhances the worktop and contributes to a bright and refined atmosphere.
The central island, equipped with a built-in wine cooler and open shelves, reflects the intent to combine practicality and aesthetics. The choice of concealed appliances and the clean lines of the cabinetry help maintain a sleek and essential design.
The master bedroom is a haven of tranquility, characterized by minimalist furnishings and textiles in soothing tones. The en-suite bathroom stands out for its use of natural materials and refined details: the double ceramic sink rests on an iron and wood structure, emphasizing an industrial-chic aesthetic, while the textured resin walls add depth and character.
A distinctive feature is the lighting, with glass pendant lamps creating a play of reflections that make the space intimate and inviting. The spacious walk-in shower is enhanced by a minimalist mosaic in the built-in niche, highlighting the studio’s signature attention to detail.
The renovation of Via Albani is an example of how PRINCIPIOATTIVO Architecture Group masterfully combines aesthetics and functionality, transforming a living space into a tailor-made environment for its inhabitants. A project that celebrates the beauty of light, the quality of materials, and the joy of living in a space designed for comfort and conviviality.
