 The project of the expansion of Grand Hotel Lviv is a single 6-storey building, filling the gap in the perimetral urban block of the historic part of Lviv. The very big design focus was made on the external language of the edifice. The building is designed to keep up with the 19th century architectural environment by maintaining a delicate rhythm of façade openings and the general scale of the building and its elements, together with the efficiency of the internal layout of it.

The overall façade language is a set of ceramic tiles with extruded vertical ribs which are called to create a game of sun and shadow during the day and underline the exclusiveness of the building during the night, with a help of façade lighting. It is essential to read the building in an integral way during any taken time, as the activity schedule of different functions are essentially different, like day time for the mall and night time for the hotel.
