A piace of connection between the lay and Christian communities. The first element is the chapel, ideally represented by the icon of the house, that in Christian worship assumes the value of “house of the Lord”; the second element is the churchyanl, a place of spatial and intellectual connection between the two communities. These elements are connected by a third part that can be recognized in the wooden frame that holds the cover. This reticular envelope recalls traditional local construction techniques and formally evokes African art form called “Imigongo”.

The liturgical space, illuminated by the light of the great rear opening, is set up with only the functional elements of the liturgy: altar, ambone, chai.r of the president of the assembly. The cavea plant also performs a symbolic function of descent and ascent in a sort of spiritual path.
